Christmas Break 2014

Christmas break was an exciting time around here.  Last year the twins were just little lumps who lay under the tree not moving...

This year, they were all over the place, taking in the excitement, crawling, walking, talking, and more!  It was super fun.  I know it is just going to get even better!  Getting them to stop long enough for a nice photo is no longer very easy, so what you see is what you get.

We did all sorts of exciting things over the holidays.  There is a neat local winery that puts on quite a grand Christmas production.  They have a nativity, live animals (including Reindeer!), sleigh rides and, of course, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus' kitchen.  We had a fun time checking that out along with some friends.

The boys enjoyed staying up late for our candlelit Christmas Eve service.  And, of course, opening presents on Christmas morning was a hit!

Boxing Day was when the extended family arrived and we continued on the fun with trips out to restaurants, shopping, and even a tromp in the snow!  The boys loved looking at it from the warmth of their carriers, but when they sat down they realized it was quite cold... hence the tears.

Everyone left just before New Year's and we enlisted the local grandparents to stay with the boys so we could enjoy a night out with friends!  It was great...although waking the next morning at 6:30am was not so nice.  Thank goodness for coffee.

All in all, it was a great break.  I must say, though, I'm such a creature of routine that it was great to get back to normal once it was all over.  After Christmas I whipped into an organization frenzy that is still ongoing.  I'm sure I'll be sharing more about that soon.

I just love my family to bits!  How could you not when they are all so darn adorable?!?!
