The Filberg Park, Comox, BC

We live in such an incredible neighbourhood, surrounded nearly on every side by the ocean.  Just down the road from where I live there is a beautiful park called the Filberg Heritage Lodge & Park.

The lodge was the former home of pioneers Robert and Florence Filberg.  The grounds have been kept up and boast an array of beautiful gardens, heritage buildings, and gorgeous waterfront property.

There is a tea house near the waterfront and a small gift shop in the main lodge.  Through the summer there is a small petting zoo set up for kids to wander through.

The main attraction through the year is the Filberg Festival, which is a music and arts festival showcasing artisans from all across Canada.

You just can't beat the scenery while strolling around shopping for Christmas presents in August.
